Of all the books I have read about the First World War, none have changed my mind about an aspect of it more than this. I used to buy into the popular idea of Kaiser Wilhelm II as an unstable militarist who was largely responsible for the First World War.

But, as this book demonstrates, the Kaiser was not much of a /5(10). Bought this book after watching Royal Cousins at War several times. Wilhelms War book Miranda Carter is one of the commentators and I enjoyed her perspective on the three kings and their behaviour/influence during their reigns.

Received the book quickly and am enjoying it very much. Well-written, well-thought-out, and the story of the three kings continues to Cited by: 8.
